Shyness Test

The Oxford Dictionary defines shyness as a state of awkwardness in social environment. Ozhegov’s Russian Dictionary defines shyness as a tendency of a person to be timid or shy in communication. According to V. Jones and B. Carpenter, shy people believe they are timid and clumsy. They are quiet, indecisive and lonely.

Shyness is a common phenomenon in many cultures. According to Fillip Zimbardo, 80% Americans say that they were shy at some time in their lives and 25% say that are chronically shy. According to V. Kunitsyna (1995), significant part of Russians thinks they are shy: 30% of women and 23% of men. In Russian schoolchildren the shyness ranges from 25 to 35%.

The Shyness Test will help you determine how shy and timid you are.
